Saturday and Monday Volunteer Gardening Groups
Every Saturday and Monday morning volunteers get together in the garden to get our hands dirty, enjoy eachothers company and get some exercise. Saturday morning is focused on supporting plotholders and Monday morning is for volunteers wanting to help in the garden. The jobs vary each week but, in general we plant, spread compost, net fruit trees, mulch, make compost, prune, steak plants, clean out the chookship and harvest a heck of a lot of food AND, arguably the most important part, we finish the morning with a cuppa and a chat. Anyone can join in, regardless of gardening experience and if you're new to gardening its a great way to pick up new skills. We get a kick of seeing our veggies grow, swapping recipes, sharing baked goods and building community connections.
